Terms of Service

Effective July 26, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of bridgexchat.com and the Bridge application (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use Bridge for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.

1. The Service

Bridge provides messaging and collaboration features intended to help people communicate across languages. Features may include messages, contacts, notes, files, translation, calendar-related content, voice messages, and synthetic Bridge Voice previews. We may add, change, limit, suspend, or remove features as the Service evolves.

The Service is not an emergency communication system and should not be your only record of important information.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms and meet the minimum age required to use the Service in your location. You must be at least 18 years old to create or use a Bridge Voice. You agree to provide accurate account information, safeguard your credentials, and promptly notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.

3. Your content

You retain any rights you have in content you submit to Bridge, including messages, contact information, files, notes, and calendar-related content. You grant Bridge a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, process, reproduce, transmit, and display that content only as reasonably needed to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit your content and to communicate with or provide information about other people through the Service. You are responsible for your content and for any decisions you make based on it.

4. Privacy and Firebase

Our Privacy Policy explains how Bridge handles information. The Service uses Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore, for account and application features when enabled. Your use of third-party services is also subject to the terms and policies applicable to those services.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

We may investigate and restrict activity where reasonably necessary to protect users, Bridge, third parties, or the integrity of the Service.

6. Translation, calendar, and voice features

Translations, transcriptions, event detection, time-zone conversions, summaries, and other automated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, or unavailable. You must review outputs before using them for legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, contractual, or other important decisions.

Bridge Voice uses third-party voice technology to create and generate synthetic speech. You may enroll only your own voice after giving the in-product consent. Synthetic output can sound like you saying words you did not record and may be inaccurate or misleading. You are responsible for reviewing output, using it lawfully, and making appropriate disclosures to recipients.

7. Bridge materials

Bridge and its licensors retain their rights in the Service, including its software, design, branding, and documentation. Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on or may link to third-party services, including Firebase and ElevenLabs. Bridge does not control third-party services, and their availability, security, content, and handling of information are governed by their own agreements and policies.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, misuse the Service, or if suspension is reasonably necessary to protect users or the Service. Where practical, we will provide notice.

10. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” BRIDGE DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AVAILABILITY, ACCURACY, AND ERROR-FREE OPERATION. BRIDGE DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT CONTENT WILL ALWAYS BE DELIVERED, RETAINED, SECURE, ACCURATE, OR AVAILABLE.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you. These Terms do not limit rights that cannot legally be waived.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BRIDGE AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY ARISING FROM THE SERVICE.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bridge’s total liability for claims arising from the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Bridge for the Service during the 12 months before the claim or USD $100. Limitations that are not lawful in your jurisdiction will apply only to the greatest extent permitted there.

12. Applicable law and disputes

These Terms are governed by applicable law without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you. Courts with lawful jurisdiction may hear disputes. Before starting a formal claim, please contact us and give us a reasonable opportunity to address the issue informally.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Bridge evolves. We will post the updated version, revise the effective date, and use reasonable means to provide notice of material changes when appropriate. Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
